Places to eat and drink

The Wavecrest Cafe – this is just a few minutes’ walk away (either down the path that leads to the beach or turn right out of the drive and first right by road) – they have seasonal opening hours so best to check these in advance.

The Lobster Pot – this iconic restaurant is a family business and has been located in Church Bay for many years.
They do lunches and dinner and for part of the year they also do Sunday Roasts. I would definitely book as it gets very busy 01407 730241

The Black Lion – Blas Mwy – as well a having a great bistro this local business situated just a few minutes’ drive away has a shop selling local and predominantly Welsh goods. Phone number is 01407 730718. They do breakfasts and great Sunday roasts.

Catch 22 – Valley
A family run brasserie with a varied menu –again probably better to call and book 01407 238220

The Gadlys Hotel – Cemaes Bay – no connection to our properties or business. Nicely renovated restaurant with views over Cemaes Bay. 01407 710227.

Anglesey Spirit Company – just up the road at Llanfaethlu – they have a selection of liqueurs including flavoured gins plus a small cafe on site doing tasting platters. Best to check their Facebook page for updates.

The Church Bay Inn
We really wish that this place would do food but they’ve been promising it for years and haven’t started yet – but that said –it’s a 5-minute walk up the hill and views are stunning. It has a pleasant garden area so it’s worth the walk.

Further afield and one of our favourites – the White Eagle at Rhoscolyn (it was a favourite with Prince William when he lived here!). 01407 860267.

Takeaway food

Fish and chips – nearest is either Valley – Enochs 01407 741069 and Sergios 01407 740070 (kebabs and Pizza)
Indian takeaway – Rozi’s in Amwlch will deliver provided the order is over £50 – however there is often quite a wait so sometimes better to collect 01407 831262.

Agra in Valley – 01407 741773
Slightly different and has to be ordered in advance Island Tapas – they offer a selection of dishes and good size portions they will deliver and it’s all ready just to be re-heated – ideal for not cooking for an evening! They are available by WhatsApp as well if you check the Fb page.

Feast Brothers – these guys do the pasta in a very different manner – they move around so worth checking out where they’re going to be and maybe combine it into a walk or a night out. Well worth it.
